Overview

Financial support of up to $50,000 per project is available to improve accessibility in Quebec tourism establishments for people with disabilities. Funding supports projects to transform or improve infrastructure and services to obtain the Kéroul “accessible” rating or enhance an existing accessible offer, including innovative accessibility solutions.

Activities funded

  • Transforming or improving tourism infrastructure and services to obtain the Kéroul “accessible” rating.
  • Upgrading an existing accessibility offering in a tourism establishment.
  • Implementing innovative solutions to improve accessible tourism.
Examples of admissible projects:

Developing and upgrading infrastructure for accessible tourism experiences.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a legally constituted organization (for-profit, non-profit, cooperative, or an Indigenous organization/community/nation recognized by the National Assembly).
  • The project must aim to transform or improve tourism infrastructure and/or services to obtain the Kéroul “accessible” rating or enhance an existing accessible offer.
  • The project must comply with barrier-free design standards in the Guide sur l’accessibilité des bâtiments in force at the time of the project.

  • Projects must comply with the barrier-free design standards in the Guide sur l’accessibilité des bâtiments in effect at the time of the project.
  • The program was scheduled to end March 31, 2022 or when the budget envelope is exhausted (applications submitted before that date remain covered).
