Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Active VSRN members
  • Researchers, students, or other members involved in the event organization

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Prizes or awards.

  • Vision Sciences Research Network (VSRN) members

Selection criteria

  • Alignment with the Network’s objectives.
  • Interest and impact for the Network.
  • International visibility for the Network.
  • Promotion of infrastructures and tissue banks.
  • Potential to attract new collaborators.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Complete the application form
    • Fill in the official form for the scientific event funding request.
  • Step 2: Attach supporting proof
    • Provide proof of participation in the event as organizer, such as an email or official letter.
  • Step 3: Submit the application
    • Send the complete application in PDF format to reseau.vision@ircm.qc.ca.
  • Step 4: Respect the deadline
    • Submit by September 30 or February 28, or by the next Monday evening if the date falls on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed after submission for completeness and compliance.
  • Incomplete or non-compliant applications are rejected.
  • Funding is awarded to the application with the highest impact.
  • Recipients may be contacted later for program evaluation follow-up.

Additional information

  • Only one grant may be awarded per financial year per axis.
  • Recipients must include the VSRN logo in the event program.
  • Recipients must acknowledge VSRN support in the event materials.
  • Recipients must respond to follow-up requests for program evaluation.
