Who is eligible?
- Arts organizations and groups with a professional arts mandate.
- Book publishers.
- Periodical publishers.
- Literary organizations.
Who is not eligible
- Organizations legally registered in Saskatchewan under The Business Corporations Act or functioning under a for-profit model, except eligible literary book publishers or literary/arts periodical publishers.
- Organizations receiving funding from the SaskFestivals program for the same grant period.
- Eligible Cultural Organizations that receive annual global funding through Sask Lotteries, and organizations that receive operational member funding from one of these ECOs.
- Organizations receiving operational funding from Creative Saskatchewan.
- Applicants who are not in good standing at SK Arts.

Selection criteria
- Applications are reviewed through a competitive process by an independent panel of reviewers.
- Assessments consider Artistic Merit, Engagement, Relevance, Relationship with Priority Groups and Organizational Effectiveness, each weighted /5 for a total of /35.
- Arts Development emphasizes Artistic Merit.
- Arts Presentation emphasizes Engagement.
- Community Catalysts emphasizes Relevance of the work to the identified community.
How to apply
- Contact the appropriate SK Arts program consultant before the closing date to discuss application and program requirements.
- Apply online through SK Arts’ SmartSimple database at https://saskarts.smartsimple.ca.
- Submit applications and support material online on or before the closing date.
Processing and Agreement
- An independent panel of reviewers assesses applications and recommends which organizations should be funded.
- The Board reviews the panel’s recommendations after receiving notice of SK Arts’ allocation from government sources and after approving its budget for the year.
- Applicants are notified of the Board’s decision by email.
- Year-end reports are due no later than six months after the end of the recipient’s fiscal year.
