How to apply

  • Step 1: Prepare the submission
    • Gather four copies of the poetry book.
    • Make sure the work meets the prize rules.
  • Step 2: Submit to the Foundation
    • Deliver the copies to the Secretariat of the Fondation Émile-Nelligan.
    • Submissions may be made by the publisher, the author, or another interested person.
    • Submit before January 25 of the award year.

Processing and Agreement

  • Submissions are reviewed by a three-member jury appointed by the Fondation Émile-Nelligan.
  • The winner is selected in the spring.
  • The winner is then invited to participate in a reading at the Festival International de Poésie de Trois-Rivières.
