  • General maintenance work such as plowing, sanding, or grading

  • Private roads located within the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by Township staff after submission.
  • The Township may inspect the private road to confirm existing conditions.
  • Applications are evaluated against policy requirements and program criteria.
  • Approved projects are inspected again after the work is completed.
  • Receipts for completed work must be submitted by the first Friday in November.

Additional information

  • Applications are accepted annually.
  • Only one application per Private Road Association will be considered each year.
  • Funding is not retroactive and applies only to work completed in the same calendar year.
