- For some areas, increased assessed value or property tax revenues.
How to apply
- Arrange a pre-consultation meeting with the Economic Development Office to discuss and confirm application requirements, program eligibility, project timing, and supporting documentation requirements.
- After the consultation, submit a completed application with the required supporting documentation, and submit a separate application for each individually addressed property.
- Submit the application to Prescott's Economic Development Department; electronic submissions are preferred, and in-person or mail submissions can be sent to Prescott Town Hall, 360 Dibble St. W, P.O. Box 160, Prescott, Ontario, K0E 1T0.
- If the space provided is insufficient, provide additional information on a separate page, and attach the signing page signed by the property owner or authorized agent and properly commissioned.
Processing and Agreement
- Once all required forms and supporting materials are received, Town Staff conduct a preliminary screening and may perform an initial site visit and inspection.
- If the application clearly does not meet the program requirements, it will not be accepted.
- If the application meets the program requirements, it moves to the review and approval stage and is reviewed by the Planning Advisory Committee for final financial approval.
- The applicant is notified whether the application was approved or declined within 48 hours of the PAC meeting.
- If approved, the applicant must enter into an agreement to receive approved funding, and funding is available after submission of required proof of expenses and payment.
Additional information
- Applicants shall not commence any works or studies subject to a CIP application before receiving approval by the Municipality and before execution of any applicable grant or loan agreement(s).
