Eligibility
- The applicant must be a Prairie-based agtech company.
- The company must be developing an agtech innovation in areas such as robotics, automation, AI, or data-driven decision-making.
- The innovation must be on the cusp of pre-commercialization (pre-commercial).
- The project/innovation must target farmers or ranchers (producers) as end users.

Confirm your applicant category
- Confirm whether you are applying as an Alberta agricultural producer or a Prairie-based agtech company
- Review the two participation pathways offered for your applicant type

Fill out the application form
- Complete the Producer Application Form if you are an Alberta agricultural producer
- Complete the Technology Provider Application Form if you are a Prairie-based agtech company

Submit your application
- Submit the completed form to express your interest in the program
- Note that expressing interest does not guarantee selection

Await selection decision
- Wait for CAAIN’s selection decision, as not all applicants will be chosen
Additional information
- Not all applicants who express interest will be selected for the program.
- Selected producers may receive free integration of existing digital data (and paper records) onto a unified platform, while retaining full ownership and control of their data.
- Up to eight producers may be compensated for their time, expertise, and mentorship when providing feedback to technology providers.
- Participants may access networking opportunities with progressive producers, industry professionals, and the broader Canadian agtech ecosystem.
