Eligibility criteria of the Potato Stabilization and Innovation initiative program

Eligibility for the Prince Edward Island Potato Stabilization and Innovation Initiative is determined by specific criteria related to the applicant's business and its impact by the market disruptions.
  • The applicant must be a table or seed potato grower, or a key supplier to the potato sector operating on Prince Edward Island.
  • The applicant must be able to demonstrate impacts resulting from the imposed restrictions on the movement of P.E.I. potatoes.
  • Alternatively, the applicant can be a non-profit organization or provincial entity providing support to the P.E.I. potato sector.

Who is eligible?

To be considered for PSII funding, applicants:- must be either a table or seed potato grower, or a key supplier to the potato sector operating on Prince Edward Island, and- must be able to show impacts resulting from the imposed restrictions on the movement of P.E.I. potatoesOR- must be a non-profit organization or provincial entity providing support to the P.E.I. potato sector.

Who is not eligible

According to the Prince Edward Island Potato Stabilization and Innovation Initiative, companies in sectors other than potato production or those not directly involved in the potato supply chain are not eligible for the grant.
