The Potato Stabilization and Innovation Initiative (PSII) is a now-closed federal funding program delivered by ACOA over 2022–2024 to support the sustainability and future growth of Prince Edward Island’s potato sector and its supply chain in response to market disruptions caused by potato wart. - Businesses that are not table or seed potato growers, and not key suppliers to the Prince Edward Island potato sector operating in PEI.
- Organizations that are neither not-for-profit nor provincial entities providing support to the PEI potato sector.
- Applicants that cannot demonstrate impacts resulting from the restrictions on the movement of PEI potatoes (for growers and key suppliers).

- Investments in digitalization, automation and other technologies that improve productivity, efficiency and competitiveness.
- Design, development or acquisition of equipment or technology to improve productivity and to exclude, contain or manage pests or diseases.
- Installation or upgrading of high energy-efficiency potato storage ventilation systems or controlled atmosphere storage, including related equipment and improvements.
- Costs to modify products or packaging formats (such as changing bag volumes or adapting packaging to market preferences).
- Development of new value-added products, including those using by-products or processing waste, with a priority on environmentally friendly products.
- Early-stage costs to enter or expand into new markets, such as preliminary marketing, business development and related market access expenses.
