Who is eligible?
- Registered Nurses
- RNs working in any practice setting or employment position
- RNs enrolled in specialty certification programs other than CNA
Who is not eligible
- Applicants seeking CNA specialty certification funding
- Applicants for individual courses toward a BN, MN, or PhD degree
- RNs who received a Trust Conference or Post Basic Specialty Course Bursary within the last 5 years

Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Individual courses completed toward a BN, MN, or PhD degree
- CNA specialty certification applications
- Using the bursary for a different activity if the planned event is not attended

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed after the competition deadline
- Funding decisions are made in mid-late May for spring and mid-late November for fall
- Applicants are notified by email of the decision
- Successful applicants must submit proof before reimbursement is issued
Additional information
- Applications are accepted twice a year: spring and fall.
- If spring funding decisions are deferred, applicants do not need to resubmit.
- Successful applicants are reimbursed after submitting proof of completion or attendance.
- If other funding covers the full cost, applicants must accept that funding and return Trust funds if already received.
