Who is eligible?
- Property owners within the Downtown CIP Area.
- Business owners within the Downtown CIP Area.
Eligible expenses
- Urban design studies, professional architectural and design drawing(s), and heritage impact assessments.
- Front, side and rear façade improvement and restoration works.
- Interior and exterior building works.
- Exterior property improvements such as landscaping and paving.
- Planning and development application fees, demolition fees, building permit fees, and other permit fees.

Selection criteria
- For the Tax Increment Grant Program and the Development Charge Grant Program, projects must meet the Municipality’s minimum performance requirements for a catalytic project, and Council will determine whether the project meets this requirement.
How to apply
- Contact the Economic Development Coordinator by email to discuss your proposed project.
- Complete and submit the CIP Pre-Application Form.
- For the Downtown Heritage Signage Program, complete and submit the CIP Pre-Application Form, the Sign Permit, the Building Permit, the Heritage Permit Application, and the Road Occupancy Permit.
- Once all permitting has been issued and approval has been given by Council or Designate, proposed work may commence.
- After completion, submit proof of payment and the approved grant amount will be disbursed by cheque.

- For the Downtown Heritage Signage Program, once the CIP Pre-Application is approved, you can move forward with the permits below.
- Once all permitting has been issued and approval has been given by Council or Designate, proposed work may commence.

- Multiple CIP incentives can be stacked, except the Tax Increment Grant Program and the Development Charge Grant Program.
