PEI Seniors’ Secretariat Grant updated for 2026-2027
The PEI Seniors’ Secretariat Grant guidelines were updated from the earlier version to a 2026-2027 call with revised priorities and a broader project focus, including healthy aging, aging in place, ageism, financial security, social isolation, intergenerational connection, age-friendly communities, and access to services. The application rules also changed, with clearer eligibility requirements for organizations, updated partnership and reporting expectations, a March 9, 2026 deadline, and a March 1, 2027 final report date. Funding terms were also refined with updated expenditure categories and spending limits, including rules for meals, facility rentals, salaries, honoraria, and bus tours.

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by a subcommittee of the Department of Social Development and Seniors and the PEI Seniors’ Secretariat.
- Projects are assessed against the program priorities and objectives, including impact, innovation, and cost effectiveness.
- Applicants are notified by letter and/or email of the funding decision.
- Successful applicants must sign a funding agreement before funding is released.
Additional information
- Applicants may submit up to two funding applications for two separate projects.
- Successful applicants must submit a final report by March 1, 2027.
- Approved funding amounts may differ from the amount requested.
- Past recipients may reapply if all previous reporting requirements were completed.
