• Completed Outdoor Maintenance Subsidy Application Form
• Proof of payment or receipts for the services claimed
• T4A (OAS) slip for GIS recipients
• Supporting information for ODSP recipients, if applicable

Who is eligible?

• Low-income seniors
• Low-income persons with disabilities

Who is not eligible

• People living in properties where someone over 16 can do the outdoor maintenance
• Residents of apartment buildings or condominiums where building management handles the maintenance

Eligible expenses

• Outdoor maintenance service fees you paid for, including yard work, tree and garden maintenance, lawn care, yard clean-up, and snow removal

Ineligible Costs and Activities

• Outdoor maintenance in multi-unit residences where the condominium corporation provides the service
• Claims for properties where an able-bodied person over 16 lives and can do the work

Eligible geographic areas

• Mississauga, Ontario

• Applications are reviewed and may be checked against supporting information.
• The City may request additional documents to validate the claim.
• Incomplete or misleading applications may be denied.
• If approved, the subsidy cheque is mailed to the property location.
• Service providers may be contacted to confirm receipt details.

• The subsidy year runs from January 1 to December 31.
• Applications must be submitted by March 31 of the following year.
• Approved cheques are mailed after June 15 of the following year.
• Receipts may be audited and service providers may be contacted to verify services.
