Overview

This program provides up to $5,000 for general causes and up to $1,500 for bereavement support. It funds local projects in sectors such as animal welfare, arts and heritage, environment, education, health, and social welfare.

Activities funded

Animal welfare initiatives.
Arts, culture and heritage projects.
Bereavement support initiatives.
Children, youth and family-focused projects.
Projects in education, environment, health/wellness/research, or social welfare for economically disadvantaged groups.

Examples of admissible projects:

The applicant organization must be based in the Pembroke–Petawawa area (and surrounding area).
The proposed project must benefit residents of Pembroke, Petawawa, and the surrounding area.
The project must align with one of the supported sectors (e.g., animal welfare, arts/culture/heritage, bereavement, children/youth/families, education, environment, health/wellness/research, or social welfare for economically disadvantaged groups).
