How to apply

  • Step 1: Complete the online form
    • Use the online form for a first registration or when a temporary stoma becomes permanent.
  • Step 2: Submit the request
    • Submit the application through the RAMQ online service.
  • Step 3: Receive payment
    • After registration, the amount is paid automatically.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are processed within 50 business days on average.
  • If the application is incomplete, the RAMQ will contact the applicant.
  • If approved, payment is sent automatically by direct deposit or cheque.
  • If refused, the decision is sent to the address in the applicant’s file.
  • Applications may be reviewed again to verify the information provided.
