Provides up to $15,000 to support reconciliation initiatives. Funds activities and events that revitalize Indigenous culture and promote understanding.

- Initiatives that increase understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples

Documents Needed
Eligibility
- The proposed initiative must support reconciliation by contributing to cultural revitalization, elevating Indigenous culture, languages, and traditions, or increasing understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.
- Activities must be community-based reconciliation efforts (e.g., events, initiatives, or grassroots actions).
- Non-Indigenous applicants are eligible only if all awarded funds go to Indigenous people, communities, or organizations.

- Oshki Wupoowane launched with an initial $1 million investment from Hudson’s Bay Foundation.
- The fund is supported by a commitment to direct 100% of net proceeds from the sale of all HBC Point Blankets to The Blanket Fund.
- The Blanket Fund has grown to more than $1.5 million to be disbursed over multiple years.
