OMIF intake status and FAQ guidance updated
Several OMIF stream pages now show Intake 1 as Closed instead of Now Open, including Music Company Development, Music Futures, and Global Market Development – Music. The visible deadline dates remain April 23, 2026; April 30, 2026; June 4, 2026; September 10, 2026; September 24, 2026; October 22, 2026; October 29, 2026; and November 5, 2026, so the main change is current application availability rather than new deadline values. The Music Industry Development FAQ also adds clearer guidance: applications may be submitted from program launch until October 29, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET, activities must fit within a maximum 12-month window ending no later than December 31, 2027, and event-based applications must be submitted at least eight weeks before the event. New guidance also says Ontario-based participants and expenses are prioritized and that, in general, only the Ontario portion is eligible when projects include participants from outside Ontario.
