Eligible expenses
- Capital expenses for processing equipment, food safety equipment, software systems, and related engineering
- Non-capital professional fees, training, testing, validation studies, and certification audits
- Market development costs such as feasibility studies, market readiness assessments, export or marketing plans, and trade show fees
- Travel expenses that comply with the program travel policy
- Label, packaging, translation, and product launch materials for eligible new product or market activities
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Purchase or construction of real property or structural works
- Aquaculture, aquaponics, and seafood processing activities
- Advertising, sponsorships, and product giveaways
- Website, e-commerce, and ongoing online marketing costs
- GST, shipping costs, lease costs, and ongoing overhead expenses

- Applications are reviewed and assessed against eligibility and merit criteria
