Eligibility
- The applicant must be an Ontario-based non-profit corporation, or a national non-profit organization with its head office located in Ontario.
- The organization must operate in the visual arts, media arts, or crafts sector and be French-speaking.
- The applicant must have a minimum of two years of sustained, regular, and ongoing programming by the application date.
- The organization must have a variety of revenue sources and an active board of directors or governing body.
Who is eligible?
- Ontario-based nonprofit corporations in the visual arts, media arts, and crafts sectors
- National nonprofit corporations with headquarters in Ontario in the visual arts, media arts, and crafts sectors
- French-speaking, self-managed (artist-run) organizations and centers focused on production, presentation, or dissemination of professional visual arts, media arts, or crafts
- Artist-run galleries and artist collectives in the visual, media, or craft arts
Who is not eligible
- Non-arts organizations.
- Municipalities.
- Colleges and universities.
Eligible expenses
- Professional artist fees and honorariums.
- Costs associated with the production, presentation, dissemination, and documentation of visual arts, media arts, and craft works.
- Expenses for creating and distributing promotional materials, such as brochures, programs, catalogues, posters, flyers, postcards, press articles, invitations, member communications, newsletters, and critical publications (up to 5 supporting documents, in PDF format).

- Representation of visual arts, media arts, and crafts disciplines.
- Role and contribution of the organization to its region and to the infrastructure for visual arts, media arts, or crafts in Ontario.
- Payment of professional fees to artists.
- Commitment to the professional development of Ontario artists.
- Opportunities provided for the public to engage with contemporary visual arts, media arts, or crafts.

Prepare for application

- Consult the Program Officer for eligibility (new applicants only)
- Create or update your organization profile in Nova
- Open a CADAC account if you are a new applicant

Complete application form
- Access and complete the application form in Nova
- Answer all questions in the annual or multi-year application
- Compile examples of artistic work (required for annual and year 1 multi-year applications)
- Gather supporting documents (maximum 5, PDF format)
- Prepare audiovisual documentation (up to 20 images and 2 audio/video files, 10 minutes combined)

Submit financial documentation
- Submit financial and statistical data through CADAC
- Upload the organization's latest financial statements in CADAC
- Attach all required documents to your Nova application

Submit your application
- Submit the complete application in Nova before the deadline
- Verify receipt and confirmation of your application

Await grant decision
- Wait for results, typically announced about five months after the deadline
- Monitor important communications from Ontario Arts Council

- All applications to this program must be submitted in French.
- Grant decisions are typically announced about five months after the application deadline.
- New applicants can only apply in the first year of a multi-year cycle.
- Application forms are available in the Nova system approximately two months prior to the deadline.
