Overview
The OAC Multi and Inter-Arts Projects grant provides up to $20,000 to support the creation, production, and presentation of multi- and inter-arts initiatives by professional Ontario artists and organizations. Eligible activities include artistic creation and production, festival and series organization, as well as professional development and sector development projects.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be an incorporated not-for-profit arts organization based in Ontario with its head office located in the province.
- Ad hoc groups and collectives are eligible if at least 50% of their members reside in Ontario.
- Non-arts organizations, ad hoc groups, and collectives must have professional artists, arts professionals, or curators directly involved in making programming decisions for the project.
- The project must involve the creation, production, or presentation of multi- and inter-arts activities that include two or more artistic forms in equal balance.
- The activities for which funding is requested must take place in Ontario and benefit the professional multi- and inter-arts community.

- Ontario-based not-for-profit arts organizations
- Ad hoc groups and collectives with at least 50% Ontario residents
- Non-arts organizations directly involving professional artists or arts professionals in project programming decisions

- Municipalities
- Colleges and universities
- Organizations that receive a grant in the Multi and Inter-Arts Organizations – Operating program
- Organizations that receive an operating grant in other Ontario Arts Council (OAC) programs (unless mandated to serve OAC priority groups)
Eligible expenses
- Artists’ fees.
- Production costs, including staging, technical equipment, and costumes.
- Purchase of small-scale equipment, software, electronics, and similar materials required for the project.
- Venue or studio rental.
- Marketing, promotion, and administration costs.
- Childcare and other dependant care fees enabling participation in the project (excluding regular, ongoing expenses).
- Expenses related to accessibility for audience members and project participants who are Deaf or have a disability.

How to apply
- Step 1: Review Program InformationRead the Guide to OAC Project Programs for eligibility and restrictions.
- Consult the program information page after it opens in Nova for any updates or changes.
- Step 2: Create or Update Nova ProfileAccess Nova, the OAC's online grant application system.
- Create a new user profile or update your existing profile as required.
- Step 3: Gather Required DocumentsPrepare a detailed project description and responses to application questions.
- Develop a comprehensive project budget.
- Collect artistic examples, such as documentation of past programming or artwork by participating artists.
- Assemble support documents, including résumés and bios.
- Ensure you have multiple revenue sources identified if applying outside the Creation category.
- Step 4: Complete Online ApplicationLog in to Nova approximately two months before the application deadline.
- Fill out the online application form with all required details.
- Upload all supporting documents and artistic materials.
- Step 5: Submit ApplicationCarefully review your entire application for completeness and accuracy.
- Submit the application electronically in Nova before the deadline (March 20 or September 18, 1 p.m. ET).
- Step 6: Await ResultsThe results will be communicated approximately four and a half months after the application deadline.
- Step 7: Final Reporting (If Funded)After completing the project, submit a final report in Nova as per the Terms and Conditions – receipt of OAC project grant funds.
- Include a project description, budget, and materials demonstrating recognition of OAC and the Government of Ontario as required.
Additional information
- The application form will be available in the Nova system roughly two months before each deadline.
- Applicants will receive notification of grant results approximately four and a half months after the application deadline.
- Projects supported under this program must be completed within two years following receipt of the grant results.
- If a project’s final report shows a surplus exceeding $250, repayment of the surplus to the Ontario Arts Council may be required.
