  • Repair or replacement of signs, bollards, gates, turnstiles, and fencing
  • Maintenance of trail amenities such as washrooms, picnic tables, benches, gazebos, and garbage cans
  • Maintenance equipment such as shovels, rakes, bush hogs, and chainsaws
  • Repairs to bridges, culverts, groomers, and related trail infrastructure

  • Step 1: Contact the Trail Consultant
    • Discuss the proposal before applying.

  • Step 2: Complete the application
    • Fill out the application form.
    • Have the form signed by the organization’s authorized signatories.
  • Step 3: Submit the application
    • Send the completed application by email or mail to CCTH Trail Grants.
    • Keep in mind that applications are accepted from April 1 to December 1, or until the program is fully committed.
  • Step 4: Follow up after submission
    • Wait at least 30 business days after confirmed receipt before checking the status.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applicants are encouraged to contact the Trail Consultant before applying to discuss the proposal and confirm eligibility.
  • A completed, signed application is required before the file can be recommended for approval.
  • Applications are reviewed after submission, and applicants should allow at least 30 business days after confirmed receipt before following up.
  • If approved, payment is issued after a signed agreement outlining the project terms and conditions is submitted.
  • Final report submission is required, and a final payment may be released after completion of the initiative.
