Eligible expenses

  • Equipment purchases for beef finishing operations, including livestock handling equipment, scales, tag readers, feed mixers, and feed bunks.
  • Installation costs related to eligible equipment.
  • Construction costs, permanent fixtures, engineering services, and accredited trades or inspection services for eligible abattoir projects.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Regular operating expenses and existing staff salaries.
  • In-kind labour and contributions.
  • HST.
  • Land purchases.
  • Used equipment that does not meet regulatory standards or equipment outside the listed eligible items.

  • The programs are administered by Perennia.
