Processing and Agreement

  • Applicants must discuss the project with the CIP Administrator before applying.
  • Applications are reviewed during an intake window and assessed by the CIP Implementation Committee.
  • Approved applicants sign a Financial Assistance Agreement and an Attainable Housing Agreement.
  • Projects are inspected after completion before funding is released.
  • Applicants may appeal a refusal to Council, except where refusal is due to lack of funding.

Additional information

  • Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis until annual funding is exhausted.
  • Applicants are strongly encouraged to consult the CIP Administrator before submitting.
  • A Financial Assistance Agreement and an Attainable Housing Agreement are required for approved projects.
  • Approved rental units must remain affordable or attainable for 15 to 20 years, depending on the program.
