Selection criteria

  • Applications are reviewed and evaluated by the CIP Implementation Committee.
  • Applications for Financial Incentive Programs are recommended for approval or refusal by the CIP Implementation Committee.
  • Tax Increment Equivalency Grant applications are approved or refused by Municipal Council.

How to apply

  • The application intake period begins on February 1st each year, unless the annual municipal budget has not yet been approved by Council.
  • All applications are received and evaluated on a first-come, first-served basis until annual funding is exhausted.
  • Applicants are encouraged to review the North Perth Attainable and Affordable Housing Community Improvement Plan and the CIP Implementation Policy for further details on project and program eligibility and the application process.
  • Applicants are strongly encouraged to consult with the CIP Administrator prior to submitting their application.

Processing and Agreement

  • For approved applications, a Financial Incentives Agreement will be prepared and executed by the CIP Implementation Committee or CIP Administrator and signed by the property owner.
  • The agreement will be registered on-title.

Additional information

  • Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis until annual funding is exhausted.
  • Applicants are strongly encouraged to consult the CIP Administrator before submitting.
  • A Financial Assistance Agreement and an Attainable Housing Agreement are required for approved projects.
