Who is eligible?

• Registered nurses (RNs).
• Nurse practitioners.
• CRNNL members.
• Nursing students in specific programs.

Who is not eligible

• Applicants who do not meet the award’s specific membership or enrollment requirements.
• Applications that are incomplete or submitted late.
• Continuing education applicants whose activity is fully covered by other funding.

Eligible expenses

• Self-paid continuing education costs.
• Research project expenses for developing a proposal, conducting a pilot or small study, or advancing an ongoing project.
• Costs related to scholarships and bursaries for nursing studies and certification.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

• Continuing education activities that are fully covered by other funding sources.
• Using a continuing education award for a different activity if the planned event cannot be attended.
• Incomplete or late applications.

Eligible geographic areas

• Newfoundland and Labrador

• Applications are reviewed by the relevant awards or research committee.
• Some awards use a peer review process with scoring criteria.
• Applicants are notified after the committee review.
• Official supporting documents may be required before an award is issued.

• Unofficial supporting documents may be accepted during the Canada Post strike.
• Official documents are required before an award is paid.
• Supporting documents can be emailed or dropped off at CRNNL House.
