How to apply
- Step 1: Prepare the volunteer team
- Assemble at least six adults from different households.
- Identify one primary contact person.
- Step 2: Submit the neighbourhood rink application
- Complete the online application when it is available.
- Provide the required team information.
- Step 3: Wait for review and confirmation
- Applications are reviewed by Town staff.
- Selected volunteer teams are contacted and site locations are confirmed.
- Step 4: Attend training and begin operations
- Attend the required volunteer training sessions.
- Begin rink setup, maintenance, and season operations once approved.

- Applications are reviewed.
- Volunteer teams are contacted and site locations are confirmed.
- Volunteer training is provided by the Town.
- Attend initial training by the Town and sign off to acknowledge roles and responsibilities.
- Complete a daily neighbourhood ice rink record during the rink season and submit these to the Town staff.
Additional information
- Rinks are weather dependent and during extended periods of above 0-degree temperatures, ice conditions may require a closure.
- Closure notifications will be posted on the Town’s social media channels.
