The Grass Roots Grant guidelines are now shown with a current effective date of April 30, 2025, and the program details are more complete than before. The page now states a 50/50 matching grant up to $4,000, a minimum application amount of $150 to $4,000 for neighbourhood grant streams, deadlines of March 1 and July 1, completion within six months of funding, and contact information for Madison Metcalfe at 604.793.2904 and mmetcalfe@chilliwack.com. Eligibility and process details are also expanded: applications are open to groups of two or more Chilliwack residents, projects must be on municipal lands, one grant may be received per neighbourhood group per year, and applications will be reviewed twice per year with final approval by Council.
