Who is eligible?
- Full members of the NunatuKavut Community Council.
- Canadian residents who need insured medical travel.
- Members needing escort-supported medical travel, where approved.

- People who are not full NCC members.
- Applicants whose travel costs are covered by another insurance plan or federal program.
- Travel for services available locally or for excluded medical services.
Eligible expenses
- Airfare, taxi fares, private vehicle use, bus and ferry travel, and emergency transportation.
- Registered or private accommodations and meal allowances.
- Escort travel expenses when pre-authorized.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Personal care items, laundry, telephone charges, room damage, movie or game rentals, room service, tips, and gratuities.
- Travel to locally available health services or compassionate travel.
- Non-insured services, cosmetic or experimental procedures, and other excluded medical services.
- Escort fees, honorariums, or salaries.
