Eligible expenses
- Student stipends for undergraduate or college students, up to $7,500 each.
- Student stipends for graduate students, up to $15,000 each.

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are submitted through the NBIF Application portal.
- Applications are reviewed after submission and decision notices are issued.
- Decision notices are sent to the applicant and the institution’s research administration office.

- Applications are typically open from October to February.
- Applicants may request a 1-year or 2-year award.
- Applicants can submit only one application per round.
