Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Research teams based in Quebec.
  • Research teams outside Quebec working in academia.
  • University-based vision researchers.
  • Clinical ophthalmology researchers in university hospitals.

  • Researchers outside Quebec who do not work in academia.
  • Applications without a Quebec team and an outside-Quebec team.
  • Researchers who are not independent under FRQS criteria.
  • Applications with conceptual overlap with another submission by the same researcher.

    • Complete only sections 1 and 2 of the application form.
    • Submit the letter of intent by the stated deadline.
  • Step 2: Prepare the full application
    • Complete all sections of the application form.
    • Add the attestation of partnership, if applicable.
    • Include the required CVs.
  • Step 3: Submit the application PDF
    • Send the letter of intent or full application as a single PDF document.
    • Submit through the Vision Sciences Research Network contact channel provided in the call.
  • Step 4: Await review and decision
    • Applications are assessed after submission.
    • Only complete and compliant files are considered.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed through the program’s scientific evaluation process.
  • Projects are assessed against FRQS-equivalent performance criteria.
  • The project’s intersectoral character is considered in evaluation.
  • Incomplete or non-compliant applications are rejected.
  • Funded projects must submit scientific and financial reports during and after the grant period.
