Who is eligible?
- Indigenous nations entities representing nation-based collectives

- Applicants that are not legal entities able to enter into a funding agreement
- Organizations seeking support mainly for ongoing operations of established bodies
- Applicants proposing activities primarily covered by other government funding programs
- Projects focused only on an individual community or organization without clear nation-level rebuilding outcomes

- Salaries and wages, honoraria, and administrative costs
- Office accommodations, supplies, materials, hardware, and software
- Information, training, and professional services such as legal advice, speakers, and coordinators
- Travel, hotel accommodation, and event or workshop logistics
- Communications costs

- Construction and renovation projects mainly supported by other government programs
- Core operating costs of established organizations, such as ongoing secretariat or treaty office operations
- Annual forums or gatherings not clearly tied to nation rebuilding deliverables
- Capacity-building activities focused only on a single community or organization without clear nation-level outcomes
- Projects that duplicate other funded nation rebuilding or negotiation support initiatives for the same communities

Processing and Agreement
- Eligible proposals are reviewed by an internal oversight committee.
- Applications are assessed against program objectives and the merit of the work plan.
- Funding decisions are not made on a first-come, first-served basis.
- For the anticipatory call, funding offers cannot be made until overall program funding is confirmed.
- Approved recipients must meet reporting obligations set out in the contribution agreement.

- Single-community nations may be considered only on an exceptional basis.
