- The applicant must be a local organization serving the Nanaimo Foundation’s geographic area.
- The submission must describe a project the organization is currently seeking funding for.

How to apply
Step 1: Request an application form
- Contact the Nanaimo Foundation to request the submission form for the Book of Giving Opportunities.
- Complete the application form with details about the project your organization is seeking funding for.
- Return the completed application form as instructed by the Nanaimo Foundation.
Processing and Agreement
- There is no formal review process or set timeline for decisions.
- Projects are selected by individual donors who hold Donor Advised Funds and other specialized funds.
- If a donor wishes to support a project, a Nanaimo Foundation representative will contact the organization.
Additional information
- Projects submitted are featured in the organization’s Book of Giving Opportunities to guide donor contributions.
- Grants are awarded throughout the year on an ongoing basis.
