- Step 1: Complete the application form
- Use the program application form.
- Prepare the request in English, French, or an Indigenous language.
- Step 2: Choose a submission method
- Send the application by email or mail.
- Or submit orally through a recorded interview on Zoom, Skype, or a similar platform.
- Step 3: Submit the application
- Email the completed application to NCTRCommemoration@umanitoba.ca, or mail it to the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation in Winnipeg.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed after submission.
- A committee of Indigenous Elders and Residential School Survivors assesses applications.
- Processing takes a minimum of three months, or 8 to 12 weeks in the current review period.
- Funds are issued after approval.
