Myopia Fund 2026 dates and award updated
The Myopia Fund 2026 competition rules/application form now show a two-step deadline window: letter of intent due June 15, 2026 for Sections 1 and 2, and full application due July 15, 2026 for all sections. Who is eligible?
- Researchers with a research position at a recognized university in Quebec.
- Co-investigators from outside Quebec who work in a university environment.
How to apply
- For the letter of intent, complete only sections 1 and 2 of the Myopia Fund Program Application Form.
- For the full application, submit a single PDF document.
- Include all sections of the duly completed Myopia Fund Program Application Form.
- Include a Common Canadian CV for Quebec researchers, or the equivalent for researchers outside Quebec.
- Send the complete request by email to Steeve Lachance, Executive Director, Fondation des maladies de l’œil.
Processing and Agreement
- Funding applications will be evaluated by a committee of researchers according to the criteria set out at the top of each section of the form.
- A one-page scientific report must be submitted at the end of the grant.
- A financial report must be submitted at the end of the fiscal year (March 31) following the grant, until the end of the period during which the funds are to be used.
- Principal investigators and co-investigators must acknowledge the support of the Fondation des maladies de l’œil and the Vision Sciences Research Network, when applicable, in any publication or presentation resulting from the funded research project.

- Incomplete or non-compliant applications will be rejected.
- Applicants may request one renewal only, with a progress report and appropriate justification.
- A one-page scientific report and a financial report are required at the end of the grant period.
