How to apply

  • Step 1: Complete the application
    • Fill out the Youth Fund application form.
    • Include any additional material that helps explain the project, event, or initiative.
  • Step 2: Submit the application
    • Email, fax, mail, or deliver the completed form in person.
    • Submit at least one month before the funds are needed when possible.
    • Submit summer event applications by May 31.
  • Step 3: Review and decision
    • Staff liaisons review the application and may request clarification.
    • MYAC considers the application at its monthly meeting.
  • Step 4: Notification and payment
    • Applicants are notified after the decision.
    • If approved, the cheque is mailed or can be picked up by prior arrangement.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are first collected and reviewed by MYAC staff liaisons.
  • Completed applications are forwarded to MYAC for consideration at monthly meetings.
  • Applicants are notified after MYAC makes its decision.
  • If approved, payment is issued by cheque to the individual or organization.

Additional information

  • Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until funds are depleted.
  • Submissions for summer events should be made by May 31.
  • A final report is required after the project.
  • Successful recipients are asked to acknowledge MYAC support and invite a MYAC representative.
