  • Private companies and businesses not recognized as regional leisure and sport units (URLS) or sport federations.
  • Organizations whose main activity is not related to the development or promotion of sports for youth aged 6 to 12 years.
  • Companies or organizations that do not represent a recognized sport federation member of SPORTSQUÉBEC and approved by the Quebec government.
  • Organizations intending to target participants already enrolled in existing competitive sports networks.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Obtain the Application Form
    • Contact SPORTSQUÉBEC at jeuxduquebec@sportsquebec.com to request the financial assistance application form for "Mes Premiers Jeux."
  • Step 2: Complete the Application Form
    • Fill out the application form with detailed information about your local, regional, or provincial project.
    • Ensure the project aligns with the objectives and requirements set by SPORTSQUÉBEC and, if relevant, the provincial federation and regional partner.
  • Step 3: Submit the Application to SPORTSQUÉBEC
    • Send the completed application form to SPORTSQUÉBEC by the specified deadline for the relevant season (Winter: by October 15; Summer: by March 30).
  • Step 4: Submit Preliminary Table to MEQ
    • Send a preliminary report to the Ministère de l’Éducation du Québec (MEQ) according to the indicated deadlines (Winter: by October 25; Summer: by April 10).
  • Step 5: Project Implementation
    • Carry out the approved project within the appropriate season.
  • Step 6: Submit Event Report
    • Prepare and submit a report on the event to SPORTSQUÉBEC by the relevant deadline (Winter: by March 25; Summer: by October 15).
  • Step 7: Approval and Disbursement
    • Await approval of your event report and preliminary table by the MEQ (Winter: by March 31; Summer: by November 1).
    • Receive funding from SPORTSQUÉBEC following the approval process, including both the base amount and any additional funding calculated according to the number of participants.

Additional information

  • The definition, use, and display guidelines for all required logos must be followed and approved by SPORTSQUÉBEC for any public-facing materials related to the project.
  • The program is supported under a bilateral agreement between the Government of Quebec and the Government of Canada.
  • Projects must align with both the objectives of the local association or club and receive federation approval.
  • SPORTSQUÉBEC is responsible for managing the program and evaluating submitted projects.
