Eligible expenses
- Lost admission revenues linked to free and discounted access
- Increased operating costs related to participation, including salaries, utilities, insurance, security, maintenance, communications and marketing
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Projects outside the June 19 to September 7, 2026 period
- Non-cash expenses
- Expenses incurred before written funding approval, at the applicant’s risk

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are first reviewed for eligibility
- Eligible applications are then assessed against the program criteria
- A funding decision is issued, and decisions on eligibility and funding amounts are final
- Applicants are acknowledged within two weeks of receipt
- A decision is expected within eight weeks after the deadline
