Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by municipal staff and the CIP Taskforce.
  • The CIP Taskforce makes recommendations to Council within 30 days after the application deadline.
  • Council makes the final decision on approval, extensions, and funding allocation.
  • Approved applicants sign a Financial Assistance Agreement.
  • Funding is paid after completion, upon proof of paid invoices.

  • Only one grant or loan can be approved per property within a 3-year period.
  • Projects must comply with applicable bylaws, codes, and guidelines.
  • A pre-application meeting is required for Tax Increment Equivalent applications.
