Eligibility
Who is eligible?
- Registered property owners.
- Commercial tenants with written authorization from the property owner.
- Persons authorized in writing by the owner or tenant.

Eligible expenses
- Façade restoration or redesign facing the public right-of-way and/or the primary public entrance, including professional architectural or design fees.
- Cleaning, painting, sandblasting, appropriate cladding, and brick or masonry repair or cleaning.
- Awnings, shutters, trim, other exterior architectural features, and lighting.
- Replacement windows and doors with energy-efficient and/or accessible alternatives.
- Repair or installation of architectural details that maintain or enhance heritage character, and other façade improvements approved by the Municipality.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Routine upkeep or property maintenance.
- Improvements to vacant investment properties.
- Work started before written municipal approval.

Selection criteria
- A property or business may not receive funding under this program in consecutive calendar years.
- A property or business that has received funding within the previous three years will be considered a lower priority.
- The Municipality may limit repeat funding to ensure grant funds are not concentrated among a small number of recipients.
- Approval is at the sole discretion of the Municipality.
How to apply
