Activities funded

  • Complementary information form attached to the application
  • Documents requested at preselection stage, if applicable (e.g. wood-structure design evaluation grid, wood-structure design attestation, GHG comparative assessment tool)

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a municipality, a regional county municipality (MRC) or an intermunicipal board.
  • Eligible municipalities must have fewer than 100,000 inhabitants, depending on the project nature.
  • The project must concern reallocation, repair, construction or expansion of municipal or community buildings.
  • The project must address significant issues related to the condition or absence of the targeted building.
  • The project must be consistent with sustainable territorial development and shared use of buildings or services.

  • Regional county municipalities (MRCs)
  • Intermunicipal boards (régies intermunicipales)

How to apply

  • Step 1: Prepare the Application
    • Consult the applicable PRACIM guide and the applicant’s guide to understand requirements and procedures.
    • Gather all information and documents needed to complete the application.
  • Step 2: Complete Online Application
    • Access the online services of the Governmental Portal for Municipal and Regional Affairs (PGAMR).
    • Fill out the dedicated financial assistance application form.
    • Attach the Complementary Information Form to the application.
  • Step 3: Submit Within Call for Projects
    • Submit the completed application through the PGAMR within the announced call for projects period.
  • Step 4: Respond to Preselection Requests
    • If the application is prescreened, follow instructions in the notification letter.
    • Provide any additional requested documents, such as wood-structure design evaluation tools or GHG assessment tools.

Processing and Agreement

  • Submitted applications are analyzed following the procedure described in the applicant’s guide.
  • Projects may go through a prescreening stage based on program criteria.
  • Applicants whose requests are prescreened receive a letter informing them of this decision.
  • At the prescreening stage, additional technical documents may be requested before further analysis.

Additional information

  • Projects must align with sustainable territorial development and shared use of buildings and services.
  • Specific guides exist for basic municipal buildings, shared facilities or services, and fire stations.
  • A previous call for projects under Component 1 closed on November 14, 2025.
  • Updated calls for projects and documents are posted on the government portal page.
