Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a Canadian municipality, a CRA-registered charity, or an Indigenous/public governing body that is a “qualified donee”.
  • The project must target a community vulnerable to climate change impacts.
  • The project must mitigate the risk of flooding and/or wildfire.
  • The project must be completed within 1–2 years.
  • The project must include concrete outcomes and indicators of success and be scalable across the community.

  • Indigenous or public governing bodies that are “qualified donees”

Who is not eligible

  • Non-municipal NGO applicants without a letter of support from a senior municipality representative
