Selection criteria
- Applications are assessed on overall organizational health
- Applications are assessed on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion practices
- Priority for funding is based on a combination of organizational health and DEI practice
- Successful recipients include organizations led by people from underrepresented communities, with 50% of recipients from equity-led community organizations
How to apply
- Access the application through The Winnipeg Foundation Grants Portal on or after August 15, 2025
- Review and update organizational contacts, including the primary contact and the organization’s leader
- Answer the application questions
- Upload the four required documents in the attachment tab
- Double-check the application for required information
- Submit the application by Friday September 12, 2025 at 12:00 noon Winnipeg Time
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed and decisions are sent in March 2026
- Each year, recipients meet with their grants officer to discuss organizational health and leadership, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and progress on the operational plan
- Recipients must submit updated documents, such as new audited financials and the most recent annual operating budget
- Grant payments are released annually after the report is completed
