Who is eligible?
- Quebec startups and SMEs in the metal transformation sector.
Who is not eligible
- Companies controlled directly or indirectly by a government, a municipal entity, or a Crown corporation.
- Companies listed as ineligible for public contracts.
- Companies under the protection of the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act.
- Companies under the protection of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.

- Equipment rental fees.
- Travel and stay expenses.
- Indirect research costs (FIR) for universities, colleges, and CCTTs.
Selection criteria
- Aspect innovant du projet and its potential impacts: 50%.
- Quality of the collaboration and of the research partner’s service offer: 50%.
- Only projects with a passing grade of 70% and a unanimous recommendation from the committee can receive CRITM funding.
How to apply
- Prepare the application form.

Processing and Agreement
- The CRITM programs team accompanies promoters and verifies the quality and compliance of the information provided.
- A neutral ad hoc committee evaluates the request.
- The process aims for 15 working days between request and acceptance.
- The subsidy is paid upon proof of payment of the research institution by the startup or SME.
- Partners must sign an agreement covering intellectual property rights and research results.
