The MRC Les Moulins Social Economy Enterprise Fund provides a maximum of $10,000 in start-up grants and $5,000 in annual interest reimbursement for development projects. Financing terms and conditions
- For startups, a maximum grant of $10,000 is awarded for the startup phase, disbursed in a single payment contingent on the satisfaction of conditions set by the MRC Les Moulins.
- In the development phase, grants are provided to cover interest fees up to $5,000 annually, applicable to loans obtained from the Fonds local d'investissement (FLI) and Fonds local de solidarité (FLS) for loans up to $25,000.
- Financing for development projects can cover new activities or market expansions, with interest grants determined per the loan's repayment terms.
- Childcare centers can apply for up to $25,000 for each establishment increasing the number of available spots, with interest subsidies applicable to each separate project.
- All aids are contingent on fund availability, with applications accepted on a rolling basis.
- A fee of $150 is required at the time of submitting the application for funding.

Eligibility criteria of the MRC Les Moulins — Social Economy Enterprise Fund program
- The applicant must have a legal status as a non-profit organization (OBNL) or as a cooperative, including solidarity cooperatives under certain conditions.
- The project must have a social purpose.
- The project must address social needs determined by the community.
- The headquarters of the social economy enterprise must be located within the territory of the MRC Les Moulins, or the enterprise must operate a place of business there.
- The project must align with the local priorities and orientations.
Who is eligible?
- Non-profit organizations (Organismes à but non lucratif - OBNL).
- Cooperative enterprises (Coopératives), including solidarity cooperatives under certain conditions.
Eligible expenses
- Capital expenditures such as land, building, equipment, machinery, rolling stock, incorporation fees, and similar expenses.
- Acquisition of technologies, software, packages, patents, and similar items, excluding research and development activities.
- Working capital needs strictly related to the operations of the enterprise, calculated for the first three years of operation.

- Businesses with their headquarters located in the territory of the MRC Les Moulins (Terrebonne and Mascouche).

How to apply to the MRC Les Moulins — Social Economy Enterprise Fund program

Preparation of the documentation
- Use the appropriate application form "start-up" or "development" according to the project.
- Attach all required documents for project analysis.
- Develop a business plan incorporating financial forecasts for two years.

- Submit the completed application form along with the required documents.
- Expect an analysis fee of $150 at the time of application submission.
