Overview of the MRC Deux-Montagnes — Créavenir program
The Créavenir program, offered by the MRC Deux-Montagnes in partnership with Desjardins, provides up to $5,000 in grant funding for young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 39 to support the start-up or development of businesses operating for less than three years. Eligible activities include business start-up, expansion, and personalized support for projects not eligible for conventional credit.
Financing terms and conditions
- Credit line up to $15,000, extendable to $30,000 after 6 months of positive financial behavior, at a preferential rate of +0.5% for 5 years.
- Business credit card with a $1,000 limit at preferential rate +0.5%.
- Non-repayable grant up to $5,000, which can be used as a contribution to access other sources of financing.

- Developing or expanding a business that has existed for less than three years.

Eligibility criteria of the MRC Deux-Montagnes — Créavenir program
- The applicant must be an entrepreneur or business owner between 18 and 39 years old.
- The project must be a viable business start-up or the development of an existing business established for less than 3 years.
- The applicant must have limited or no access to conventional credit to complete the project.
- The applicant must be a member of a caisse.

How to apply to the MRC Deux-Montagnes — Créavenir program

Check eligibility criteria
- Ensure you are between 18 and 39 years old
- Have a viable business start-up project or a business less than 3 years old
- Do not have access to conventional credit or not enough for your project
- Be a member of a caisse

Submit your business plan
- Prepare your business plan
- Submit your business plan to the local development organization in your region

Present project to selection committee
- If your personal investment and guarantees are insufficient, present your project to the Créavenir selection committee

Receive funding and support
- If selected, receive support throughout the business start-up
- Obtain a line of credit up to $15,000 (up to $30,000 after 6 months of good financial behavior)
- Receive a business credit card with a limit of $1,000
- Obtain a grant of up to $5,000 under certain conditions

- The Créavenir program provides an opportunity to build or improve your credit history through access to credit facilities and support.
- Applicants must be members of a Desjardins caisse to participate in the program.
- Personalized support and mentorship are offered throughout the business start-up process.
