Eligible expenses
- Permanent adaptation work inside the domicile.
- Permanent adaptation work to access the exterior of the domicile.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Renovation work.
- Work started before authorization by the municipality or MRC.
- A domicile under construction or to be built under Option 1.
Processing and Agreement
- For Option 1, needs assessment is completed by an occupational therapist and plans and specifications are prepared by an inspector accredited by the SHQ.
- For Option 2, needs assessment and plans and specifications are not included.
- Work started before municipal or MRC authorization is not admissible for financial assistance.
Additional information
- The program is administered by the SHQ.
- In Option 1, the applicant may choose to work with a private occupational therapist.
- In Option 2, the applicant chooses the adaptation work from a list established by the SHQ.
