Who is eligible?

  • Businesses in the territory of the MRC d’Argenteuil.

  • Applicants operating in a highly competitive sector or not demonstrating profitability sufficient for new entrepreneurs to make a living from it.
  • Applicants registered with the RENA, those who have defaulted on their obligations after formal notice within the past five years, state-owned or government-controlled corporations, and entities under the protection of the CCAA or the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.
  • Applicants whose ethical conduct is likely to tarnish the government’s or the MRC’s image of integrity and probity, whose conduct is environmentally irresponsible, or who have a history of failing to comply with labor standards or human rights.
  • Businesses operating, in whole or in part, in the production or distribution of weapons; the exploration, extraction, drilling, production, and refining related to fossil fuels; gambling operations; violent games operations; sexual exploitation; or real estate management and development.
  • Businesses related to the production, sale, or services related to the consumption of tobacco or drugs, except for interventions related to cannabis and industrial hemp that meet the criteria set out, as well as recreational products, medical products not approved by Health Canada, and additional cannabis products.

  • Expenses incurred for the implementation of a project more than three months before the date the official assistance request is received by the MRC.

  • The amount of financial assistance granted by the investment committee is reserved until 31 December of the year of acceptance.
  • After this date, the company must submit a new application to the investment committee.
