Who is eligible?

• Registered charities
• Municipalities
• Other qualified donees under the Income Tax Act of Canada

Who is not eligible

• Non-profit organizations that are not qualified donees
• Organizations whose activities take place primarily outside Canada

Ineligible Costs and Activities

• Annual campaigns or annual deficit reduction
• Conferences, seminars, workshops, and fundraising events
• Books, magazines, films, videos, and other media productions
• Travel or touring expenses
• Political, religious, or emergency-related activities

• The review, research, and decision process may take more than six months.
• The Board of Directors makes the final decision.
• Applicants are contacted directly once a decision is made.
• If more information is needed, the foundation will contact the applicant.

• Applications are accepted year-round.
• The review and decision process may take more than six months.
• If a proposal is declined, organizations are encouraged to wait one year before reapplying.
• The foundation generally does not renew projects it has already funded.
