Processing and Agreement

  • Step 1: Proposal review
    • Manitoba EMO reviews the submitted proposal.
    • Additional details may be requested if needed.
  • Step 2: Approval notification
    • Applicants are notified in writing if the proposal is approved.
  • Step 3: Contribution agreement
    • A contribution agreement must be signed before the project proceeds.
  • Step 4: Reimbursement
    • The municipal DFA deductible is reimbursed during the claims evaluation process.
  • Step 5: Reporting and closure
    • Semi-annual reports are required after the project starts.
    • A final report is required when the project is complete.
    • Manitoba reviews the final report and closes the project.

Additional information

  • Local authorities are notified when an approved MPP is available.
  • Projects may be completed immediately or through a reserve fund.
  • Unspent funds must be returned to Manitoba.
  • The program is administered by the Manitoba Emergency Measures Organization.
