Pendle Fund now open with updated eligibility
The Grant Seekers page now shows the 2027 grant round as open instead of opening soon, and Pendle applications are now accepted from registered charities until September 30, 2026 at 5 p.m. A new Grant Application Guidelines PDF now states that Pendle applicants must have CRA registered charitable status, or partner with a registered charity that submits as lead, and that programs and services must be delivered to Mississauga residents. It also adds detailed ineligible-project rules, including projects outside Mississauga, fundraising or campaigning activities, political or religious activities, advocacy/lobbying, re-granting, capital, capacity building, and retroactive costs.

Who is eligible?
- Registered charities with charitable status with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
- Not-for-Profit organizations that partner with a Registered Charity, with the Registered Charity as the lead applicant.
Who is not eligible
- Not-for-Profit organizations cannot submit the application as the lead applicant.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Deficit reduction; debt retirement or reserves; mortgage pay-downs.
- On-going operating expenses more than 5% of requested grant amount.
- Fundraising events or campaigns and salaries in support of them.
- Political or religious activities; sponsorships; advocacy/lobbying.
- Scholarships or bursaries; re-granting; programs and services delivered outside of Mississauga; capital; capacity building; retroactive funding for any project expenses to be incurred prior to the Foundation's decision date; individuals.
