The Grant Seekers page now says the 2027 grant round opens soon and replaces the 2026 timetable with a 2027 Grant Round Timetable. It also adds new eligibility requirements for the Smart & Caring Children & Youth Fund and the Hazel McCallion Fund for Arts, Culture & Heritage. For the Smart & Caring Children & Youth Fund, applicants must now have a primary mandate focused on the well-being, education, or development of children and youth 24 years of age and under, or deliver established, ongoing programs that specifically serve children and youth. For the Hazel McCallion Fund, registered charities must now have a primary mandate focused on the creation, presentation, preservation, and/or dissemination of arts, culture, and heritage.

Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Registered Charitable Organizations
  • Not for Profit organizations partnering with a registered charity as the lead

Who is not eligible

  • Not for Profit organizations applying as lead charities for our Spring round unless they partner with a registered charity as the lead

Eligible expenses

  • On-going operating expenses up to 5% of the requested grant amount

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Projects delivered outside Mississauga
  • Fundraising or campaigning events
  • Political or religious activities
  • Sponsorships, scholarships, and bursaries
  • Retroactive project costs incurred before the Foundation’s decision date
  • Re-granting or payments for third-party expenses such as parking tickets or overdue rent
  • Operating expenses above 5% of the requested grant amount
