Eligibility
Who is eligible?
- Registered Charitable Organizations can apply.
- For the Smart and Caring Children & Youth Grant only, both Registered Charities and Not-for-Profits are eligible to receive funding.
- Two registered charities may apply together on one collaborative application, with one charity acting as the lead organization.
Who is not eligible
- Not-for-Profit organizations cannot apply as a lead charity for the Spring round, unless they partner with a registered charity as the lead.

- Retroactive funding for any project expenses incurred prior to the Foundation’s decision date

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed and decisions are made by August 2026.
- If successful, the organization must return any required agreements and reports via the online system.
- If successful, the organization must fill out the electronic fund transfer (EFT) form as part of the grant agreement.
- The organization should acknowledge the grant in marketing materials, website, social media, and other communications.
Additional information
- Applications are accepted in February for the Novo Nordisk Chronic Disease Fund, Hazel McCallion Arts, Culture & Heritage Fund, and the Catalogue of Community Needs Grant.
- Applications for the Pendle Fund and the Smart and Caring Children & Youth Fund are accepted in September.
- Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
- Funding is generally approved between April and August, and applicants will be notified of the outcome.
